Prayer Guide for Sunday, August 17, 2025

1. Worship our great God. Confess that He is the treasure that is to be valued above all treasures!
2. Ask God to root out any sense of self-sufficiency or self-righteousness in your life.
3. Pray for those people in your life who have a false notion of who Jesus is. Pray that God’s Spirit would open their eyes so that they will see Jesus as the Son of God, the Savior of the world.
4. Pray for grace to battle materialism in your life. Pray for grace to be generous with the resources that God has entrusted to you.
5. Thank God for the promise to reward those who follow Jesus in this life. Ask God for grace to keep our eyes focused on our future hope.
6. Pray for our children and students who are promoting to new BFGs this morning. Ask God to help make quick connections with their new teachers and leaders.
