A message from Pastor Nate concerning TBC's response to Coronavirus

COVID 19 Updates

As you are aware, concerns about COVID-19 (coronavirus) have been circulating and escalating in recent weeks. We want to provide our church family with updates as we monitor information about COVID-19 and its impact on our church and community. We realize this is a difficult time in our country, and we want to do the best we can to love our neighbors and continue proclaiming Christ in all we do. We want to address a few important questions you might have at this time. We will be updating this page as often as possible to keep you informed.

Is TBC gathering for services?

After much prayer and discussion among the staff, church council, and respected medical professionals we are canceling all church programs, on-campus meetings & gatherings, and other church-sponsored activities for the next several weeks, until Easter Sunday, April 12. Our sincere hope and prayer is that we will be able to physically gather together for corporate worship on Easter Sunday.  We have not made the decision to cancel our upcoming activities lightly, but we believe it is the wisest course of action at this time. We continue to closely monitor the situation and will communicate quickly as things change. For the latest information on COVID-19, visit the CDC's website

We will be livestreaming our worship service on this page of our website and through our church's facebook page each Sunday at 10:00am

How to prepare for worship via the livestream:

  • You can view the livestream on this page (the player will be at the top of this page), or on our church's facebook page.  However, you MUST have a facebook account in order to view the livestream on the church's facebook page.  Go to  If you do not have a facebook account, you will be prompted to create one.
  • Access the Worship Guide by clicking on the link near the top of this page.
  • Spend time praying before the service.  Ask God to help you as we worship in a very different environment.
  • Put away / turn off your phones--unless you are using them for a worship-related activity.  Try to make your home distraction-free.
  • Make sure you have your Bible handy.  We'll be using our Bibles just like always.
  • Sing out loud (even if it feels awkward).

Note:  We will be recording the video of our worship service also, and it will be available on the player above starting at 3:00pm on Sunday.

Is the TBC office open?

Our ministry and administrative staff will be carrying out the day-to-day ministry and operations of the church. If you have questions or a ministry need we encourage you to call and speak to a pastor or staff member. We are committed to shepherding and ministering to our church body throughout this time.

How can you pray?

Remember the words of Paul to Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." With that in mind pray along the following lines:

  • God is sovereign and in control of everything. We know he uses all things for his glory. To that end, pray that through this outbreak the Gospel would advance and men, women, and children would be saved.
  • Pray for wisdom for government and medical leaders as they respond to this outbreak. Pray that they would put others interest ahead of their own, and they would respond wisely and appropriately.
  • Pray for medical personnel who are treating the sick. Pray for their safety and health as they work tirelessly to serve others.
  • Pray for those who are considered high risk: Seniors, those with pre-existing medical conditions, those with compromised immune systems, etc. Pray they would be wise in their precautions and protected from illness.
  • Pray for Christians all over the world to respond to this situation with faith and not fear.

What can you do to grow spiritually?

While we cannot gather together this is still an opportunity for you to continue to move forward in your journey with Christ. Here are a few things you can do.

  • Read your Bible! Continue with the Bible reading plan we are going through as a church.
  • Pray.
  • Gather your family and worship together.
  • Use wisdom, but stay connected to our church family.

We will also be posting resources in the coming days and weeks that will help you as we seek Christ together even when we can't be together.
