Membership

At Trinity Baptist Church, we believe that church membership has great value for daily life and growth in Christ. That said, it’s important to note that we aren’t just looking for people to attend our church. Ultimately, we view membership as a commitment which carries both privileges and responsibilities. We are looking for people who will partner with us in our mission to proclaim Christ and make disciples of those who claim Christ, all for the glory of Christ!

So whether you are brand new to Trinity Baptist Church, or whether you’ve been attending for some time, we invite you to engage in our membership process, which includes three steps.

1. Attend the Membership Class: On the 2nd Sunday of most months during the year, the Membership Class meets in the Library (across from the bathrooms in the Main Entrance) during the Bible Study hour (9:45-10:45). The class is taught by our Senior Pastor, Nate Magloughlin, and will help you understand the things that we believe are important as a church.

2. Complete the Membership Questionnaire: The Membership Questionnaire is a tool that helps the church staff get acquainted with each new member by asking you to answer four basic questions: What is your testimony? How have you seen God at work in your life? What are your spiritual gifts? Where might you like to serve in the church?

3. Make known your desire to become a member: At the conclusion of each Corporate Worship Service, we include an opportunity for a responding to the leading of the Holy Spirit. During this response time, we encourage all those interested in joining the church to come forward in order to be introduced to the church. (Don’t worry, you don’t have to make a speech or even go on the stage.)
